Here is a knife that hasn't had enough publicity. VG10 steel and a saber grind make this one solid medium sized folder.
The diminutive size is deceptive, because the edge this baby has on it can cut cardboard twice its size with ease. The handle is of stainless steel construction, and has artfully executed cutouts, making the knife look great while assisting with weight reduction.

The Poliwog has a ball lock, which functions similarly to Benchmade's Axis lock, for a very secure, "no finger danger" lockup.
This blade is made in Sekai no Machi, or seki city, Japan: where most companies have their more expensive blades ground and constructed due to the city's rich history and abundance of bladesmithing masters. Ergonomically, this knife is THE most comfortable knife I've ever held. It has four finger grooves, and is perfectly countered to become one with your hand. It also has a steel wire Spyderco pocket clip which works very nicely. This is a stylin' blade which doesn't sacrifice anything in terms of utility.
The Spyderco Poliwog opens with the trademark Spyderco Thumb hole, instead of a more common thumb stud. I find that the thumb hole is just as fast and easy to use as it's stud counterpart, but takes a little bit of practice and getting used to.
